Bottle Manufacturing Plant

Probably one of the most challenging and complex jobs we've ever undertaken! Bequip were successful in winning a major commercial cleaning contract at United Glass's bottling plant in Harlow.

Following an incident in which one of the furnaces overheated, extensive damage was sustained to the roof structure. As a result the steel roof trusses were coated in a thick layer of carbon dust which periodically showered down onto both personnel and production plant alike.

If left unchecked the problem would have severely compromised ongoing and future production whilst creating a hazardous work environment for the plant's employees.

Our specialist team of technicians set about the painstaking task of cleaning and repainting the structural steelwork whilst glass production continued.

Despite working in extreme temperatures in excess of 50 degrees centigrade the task was completed within budget in a little over six weeks.
